Britain’s cat population was estimated to be 8.8 million in 2010, with the gap between dogs and cats quickly closing as the most preferred pet for UK households.  The reason for this could be because they easily fit into increasingly busy and urban lifestyles, as they require less time and outdoor exercise compared to dogs. Food for thought

Allergies are often in response to certain proteins in the food, and frequently these are seen in response to dairy products, mammalian meats (such as beef or lamb) and wheat gluten.
