Animal Cruelty Complaints Continue to Rise

Last year, the RSPCA reported an increase of 10% in the number of complaints made of animal cruelty compared to the same period in 2009. More than 1.1 million calls were logged, 159, 686 complaints investigated and 86, 354 owners issued with advice on how to improve their animals’ welfare. Conversely, the number of animals which had to be rescued decreased in 2010.
