Cheryl Harkness, The Cloud Club, Newtownards, Co. Down has been in touch to let us know about the amazing achievements she has had with her dogs. Her busy year is detailed below:

2012 Agility Year

The Cloud Club have had a very successful year at Open and Championship competitions in the UK and Ireland. In total, the dogs gained:

62 - 1st places

39 - 2nd places

17 - 3rd places

Fidget, the little Swedish Vallhund, had another fantastic season and won another three Green Stars and gaining his Irish Agility too.

Cheryl was delighted one of those was at the Celtic winners show.

He is now the only UK Agility Champion in Ireland and the first ever Irish Agility Champion. As far as Cheryl knows, he is also now the only double titled Agility Champion in the UK.

UK & IR Agility CH Pepperthyme Akamas

Cheryl's Cocker Spaniel, Toast, also gained her 2nd Green Star in 2012.

On the mainland in 2012, Cheryl attended the KC festival, Woodside, Dundee and SKC. Cheryl gained a number of good places with all the dogs, but was delighted to see her two young ones Hali (Australian Kelpie) and Badger (Swedish Vallhund) both gaining first places and starting to move up the grades.

The competition season came to an end in 2012 with Cheryl representing Ireland at the FCI World Championships.

Agility World Championships 2012

The Agility World Championships were held in Liberec in the Czech Republic at the Tip Sport Arena.

Cheryl was thrilled to get the opportunity to compete and represent the Irish Kennel Club. Both Cheryl's Swedish Vallhund IR & UK Ag Ch Pepperthyme Akamas (Fidget) and little Cocker Spaniel Swift Lass (Beans), went really well, but a couple of slight errors and it was not to be.

Cheryl was very proud of how both her dogs performed, and showed the great quality of dogs Ireland had.

Agility 2013

The season starts with the Celtic Winners Show in Cloughran on the 16th March.

Cheryl's working Cocker, Toast, and Swedish Vallhund, Fidget, have just been awarded top Irish medium and small dog of the year, and Cheryl is to represent Ireland at the European Open Championships in Belgium at the end of July.

CLINIVET would like to congratulate Cheryl on all of her achievements during 2012, and wish her all the very best of luck for 2013!

He has always thrived on Clinivet and being a Shar Pei they can have lots of skin problems but thankful, none of my 5 Shar Pei, who are all fed on Clinviet, suffer from it. Thanks for supplying me with quality food for the past 4.5 years!"
